Any GIMers among these prospectors?
New prospectors hunt for gold and find serenity in them there hills
http://www.guardian.co.uk/usa/story/0,,2141508,00.html But in McGrath's heaven, there is temptation. "Well, [the gold] gets a hold of you," he says. "I never look directly at the gold, because the gold is like heroin, it's like the devil, it beckons you all the time. You get the fever bad, and it can become a terrible addiction. It's a shame because people can lose their jobs and their families and they never find it." :shocked_ma: |

No, but that place was one of the first places I prospected years and years ago.

I was born and raised in the Azusa-Glendora area just at the base of those mountains. Many an ounce of those "pickers" were washed out of the hills just north of Azusa, and truth be known, this area was a thriving gold strike area long before the Northern California gold rush got under way in 1848. Still lots of gold in "them thar hills".
